BbyB actually contains alot of posts about my hair. I always say I've abused it over the years so I now I attempt to use products to rectify the damage. On my hunt for holy grail hair products I came across Wella's LuxeOil 'Reconstructive Elixir' in my local hair salon and of course had to give it a try. Here's the official blurb:
This special formula softens hair without weighing it down. For use on wet and dry hair for optimal nourishing and smoothening effect.
HOW TO USE:
Apply as a leave-in treatment for conditioning, styling and finishing.
Lightweight Transform Technologies to protect keratin
Almond, argan and jojoba oils
I asked the hairdresser what she thought was the best way for me to use it and she advised putting it through the lengths and ends of hair after I've washed it and also after to style. This is what I ended up doing for the past 5 months and considering the amount of hair I have I'm pretty impressed with how long the bottles lasted me.
The product itself is a very fluid texture which can make it a little tricky to use as it ends up all over the place - a little in this case goes along way and it doesn't weigh the hair down at all. The pump nozzle is pretty sturdy and for a hair oil bottle overall the thing is hardcore but still looks pretty on my shelf.
One thing I liked but was also disappointed in was the smell. It's so nice when you first use it but within seconds the smell has dissipated leaving me wondering why. I'm not asking for the smell to last hours but I do like it to last until after I leaved the house at least!
I did like this product but my hair can live without it. For me I didn't see a huge difference in my hair between the times I used it and when I didn't which is big tell tale sign. I'm sure it must have been helping my hair in some way but the benefits of using this for around 5 months aren't wholly apparent.
I picked up my Luxe Oil for about £28 in my local salon so it's a mid price point for this kind of product but I have seen it on sale for around £20 (at the time of this post I have seen it on BeautyBay.com discounted.) I would purchase this in future if it was at a cheaper price and I was desperate for a hair oil but sadly it wont make it into my holy grail hair collection.
The hunt continues..........
