I am a beauty obsessed blogger based in the UK. BbyB is my creative outlet where you will find a vast amount of beauty and skincare alongside a bit of food and fitness, travel, lifestyle all thrown in...
First of all let's start this one with a SORRY MOM! Yes it was me, I totally 'borrowed' this perfume and never gave it back :/ But at least I know what to get you for Christmas right? :)
Anyway on to the actual review...
This is my first Diesel perfume and what attracted me to 'borrow' it initially was how it looked. This I know is silly for a perfume but I was in a rush and it just yelled use me, use me! First of all it's pink and in a heart shaped bottle *swoon* but secondary to this is the fact that it looks a little edgy, a bit of a Rock n' Roll Princess vibe. All these things conbined a couple of years ago would have put me right off but as I grow older the phrase 'don't judge a book, or in this case a perfume, by it's cover' really comes into play.
What has kept me loyal to this perfume now for around 2 months is the divine smell. It's sweet and floral but the lasting note is almost spicy. I have no idea what part of the combination of ingredients is so irresistible to me so here's the official breakdown below:
Top Notes: Mandarin, star anise
Heart Notes: Sambac jasmine, Liquorice, Gardenia
Base Notes: Amber, Vanilla
I find after about 5 hours the scent has lost it kick and needs a little respray but that's still pretty good for a perfume of this price (£29.99 for 50ml.) It's particularly good for a night out and I've had many compliments since wearing this :)
Another huge plus for me it that it doesn't give me headaches. It has been hard for me in the past to find perfumes that don't set off my silly body to over react and to be honest this surprised me. An affordable perfume that smells nice and doesn't give me a migraine is pretty much a holy grail thing.
Have you tried any other Diesel perfumes? Let me know if there's any you recommend.
