Two weekends ago was a hell of a good one (yes this post is a little late!) I was lucky enough to be invited along to The Kings Arms in Knowle, Solihull to visit M.A'A.M (the Mobile Academy of Alchemical Meanderings) for a little education on Hendricks Gin.
Here's my photo diary from the day:
The inside of M.A'A.M is just awesome. It's converted to look like an old pub with an inbuilt bar and gorgeous leather seating. This was where me and others convened to be taught about Gin and Hendricks itself from the lovely Bruce. We were also given some very tasty Gin and Tonic's - it was my fiancees first one and he loved it!
My favourite part of Hendricks history is how they got their name. It all stems from a lovely story about the creators mother, a garden of roses and her beloved gardener called Hendrick :) Super cute! Since I came back I have read tonnes of interviews and articles about the brand because actually it was really inspiring as the brand was only born in 1999!
Each part of M.A'A.M also referenced the brands history, creators and their love of alcohol history and literature!! I actually felt like I got a serious education on alcohol whilst getting rather tipsy in an awesome time travel box!
I already loved Hendricks but now I am addicted! I had a lovely day so big thanks to them for inviting me and also to the awesome Bruce - He knew more about alcohol than I know about anything and his life was sooooo interesting! Big up Bruce!
