Oh yes it's that time of year again and Valentines lurks on the horizon. Whether you are in a relationship or not I see Valentines as just a fun day to tell someone you care or to just treat yourself. I've put together some bits here that I love at this time of year that may even help you out if you are buying for someone special ;)
The number one thing I personally love is flowers, stereotypical yes but still lovely none the less. I tend to buy roses on Valentines for my mom or grandmother as I've done this since I was very young but I love all types of flowers, so am pleased when I get some too. A great gift idea for your partner is something a little different in a three month flower subscription - not only do they get roses on valentines but a different fresh flower bouquet for three months after so the romance will continue. It is on the pricey side at £55 from Bloom&Wild but I think if you spread that cost out over three months and it's well worth it.
Chocolate is always next on the list of stereotypical Valentines gifts but why not make it a little special and get it personalised? For £5.95 it's a cheap but lovely gift that you could pair with other sweets, chocolate or even wine. I even read recently of a guy proposing this way so it's definitely one where you could say anything.
Something a little different...
A cute gift to give to that special person in your life is a Dictionary definition mug (£14.50) This is fab because it is a personalised gift which always goes down better and can be used daily by the recipient. This gift is actually good all year round but for Valentines I think it's something a little different and would be perfect for family or to tell that special someone you 'like' them.
One for those who have been together a long time and have a special song is this personalised 'Our Song' print by The Drifting Bear Co (£25.) This one is guaranteed to get a brilliant reaction, spread the love and it will last way beyond Valentines day.
Finally for those of you who want more of an intimate night in the Valentines Couples Night In Box by Carabella (£55) may be the perfect solution for that Valentines evening. It's got wine, love notes, chocolate, bath and body oils so basically all you need to begin a rather romantic evening that will more than likely end very well....This week will be filled with more, let's say intimate posts so stay tuned ;)
Whatever you choose to get your love this Valentine my top tip would be to make it as personal as possible. There is nothing more romantic than knowing that you are so loved and the other person has really been considerate - this can even be as simple as cooking a dinner or watching their favourite film, as long as it's together you are guaranteed a great night.
So, what are you going to be doing the Valentines?
