Review: Maybelline Baby Lips

I snapped up the Maybelline Baby Lips collection when it first came out in the UK and never really got around to using them. I'm a die hard Burt's Bees fan so it took a leap for me to venture beyond them and it was out of sheer necessity at the time. I was just looking for a cheaper, easily available version that did the job basically and in Maybelline's offering I certainly found it.

Out of the whole collection the Intense Care is my new favourite:

Maybelline Baby Lips

The texture on my lips is very smooth, almost liquid like and feels very light on application. It is different to that of Burt's Bees as it feels more akin to vaseline than a honey balm but I've found it offers my lips an extra layer of protection against the ever changing weather.

I use it before I put on my makeup in the morning to moisturise and then throughout the day I top it up. The packaging claims it will last up to 8 hours after application which I can say is just not true. This isn't to it detriment, it's just an over the top claim.... it's more like 2 hours max.

Intense Care

I actually like the bright, childish packaging for the simple reason that I can easily see it at the bottom of my bag and the fact of it is they are a high street brand not something like Tom Ford! I also think for the price you get quite a lot of product so no complaints here.

I do have the whole collection so will slowly make my way through them. I do like another in the range called Pink Punch to add some colour to my lips but as my go-too it's always Intense Care especially on these horrible cold mornings.

For £2.99 these balms are a major bargain and when on 3 for 2 are just a steal!!
Have you got any lip care faves?
