Skincare Treat: Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer

Mario Badescu Skincare

I bought this beauty following a video recommendation by Nicole Guerriero as she has similar skin issues to me so I thought I'd give it a go. I snapped it up in early August as part of a mini haul and it's been part of my skin care routine ever since....

The official blurb:

Help protect the skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays that can prematurely age your complexion and darken acne scars with our lightweight, oil-free, broad-spectrum moisturizer. Formulated with Green Tea Extract, derived from the Camellia Sinensis plant, for anti-inflammatory properties and powerful antioxidant protection against free radical damage. Aloe Vera and St. John’s Wort deliver additional soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits to your skin.

I use this after I've cleansed my skin in the morning. It's quite a fluid texture so you really only need an minimal amount for maximum coverage. I then leave it to settle into my skin whilst I do my hair and follow once dry with either primer or my foundation (I skip a step if I've overslept!)

I have found that throughout the months I have been using this that my skin feels alot healthier and brighter. I wouldn't say it's done anything to help out my ridiculously oily skin but I do like using it in combination with my makeup. What I did notice is how bright my skin gets when I have a clean face and just use the moisturiser, it's a big difference. The other major plus point for me with this product is the SPF 30 it holds within. The older I get the more I realise skin care above anything else to do with my face is the most important and SPF comes top of my skin care list.

I grabbed mine for £23.95 from BeautyBay.com in August and I think I've only used about a third of the bottle so it's mega value for such a high quality product.
