Bootea 14 Day Teatox Diary: Week one

You may have read about my first three days on my teatox earlier on in the week on bbyb. If you didn't catch it you can here and see why I chose this teatox over the others on the market.

Anyway it's now day 7 and thought I'd give my half time round up.

The first thing to say is that I've actually gotten used to the taste of both the daytime and night time teas. Initially I didn't like the night time tea in particular but after two days I was past it and actually really look forward to my morning cuppa.

(weird side note)
I have found out this week how impressed I am buy good packaging design...

I really like this Bootea packaging. I have had this at my work on my desk for the entire working week and it's quite pleasant to look at. It's not too clinical or bland like some health products are and is very tailored to women on the go.

I also love that the bag is so well designed and allows you to reseal it after taking out a tea bag each time. I'm all about keeping food/drink ingredients fresh so this makes it very easy and extremely handy!!
(plus no excuses for not doing it properly!)

I like knowing that what I'm drinking is all natural and that I can easily see what's in my drink. I had noticed some of the other teatox companies just list 'Chinese herbs' rather than the full list of ingredients which I find misleading. The older I get the more conscious I become of what I'm putting into my body especially when it comes to drinks so this clear list is a major plus point for me.

Here's what the website says about this teatox:

 How I will help you:

"I'll perform a much needed, intensive cleanse of your digestive system to help achieve the results you want. I'll leave you feeling energised and motivated to reach your goals."

The Teatox:

The aim of the Bootea teatox and the eating plan is to cleanse your body whilst significantly aiding weightloss. The ingredients used in our teas have been used for centuries for health and wellbeing purposes but it is only now we have finally brought all these powerful ingredients into one perfect, rounded product.  Teatox is a fancy word we use to describe the way the body goes through a natural process of elimination, by removing unwanted ‘toxins’ and built up waste matter, from your body via the lungs, kidneys, bowels and skin.

So far is this the case for me....?

Well, kind of..

Bootea advise that after drinking the night time teatox you should be near a toilet 8 hours after (aka in the morning) as it has a natural laxative effect. I haven't experienced that sudden need to use the toilet at all during these past 7 days (sorry if this is t.m.i) so maybe it takes more time to kick in? Either way I'm almost glad of that fact as it may have been awkward at work.

There is an online eating plan to assist you through your teatox which I'll be honest I didn't use but some other users may find invaluable. You are advised against consuming alcohol, coffee and red meat whilst on the cleanse which are rules I only broke once.... one rather lovely burger that was well worth the break for!

The one negative: My skin actually broke out on day three but this could be easily down to that amazing time all us ladies have that kicked in soon after. I'm hoping this will disappear fast as bad skin makes me a little unhappy :(

Overall I have actually lost 3lbs so far which is good considering I haven't been to the gym at all - this is unusual for me as I normally go three times a week.
I will probably put this down to the tea as I have been more 'regular' and feeling pretty good.

Well for me I found this tea has slotted really easily into my day to day life so far. I haven't had any major side effects or any bad experiences at all so I'm looking forward to the next 7 days.

I'll update you at the end!

Have you tried any cleanses recently?

* This is NOT a sponsored post. I purchased the teatox with my own hard earned cash and because I wanted to try it. Only do this if you have looked into it and if you are concerned over the effects at all please discuss with your GP prior to use*
